Hanyang Jokbal (Scarborough)

If I could give 10 stars, I would. The jokbal was perfection: rich but not greasy, flavorful but not overpowering, and the balance of seasonings was chef’s kiss. Every bite felt like a little trip to heaven. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the kind of people who make you feel like you’ve just walked into a friend’s home instead of a restaurant. Amazing food, great vibes, and prices that make you double-check you’re not dreaming.

We made a reservation through instagram, they were very responsive. We had some friends visiting town, and the manager gave us the rice ball dish on the house, very generous! Everything was delicious as usual!

Our group randomly chose this restaurant coz it's the nearest from where we were. We ordered pork bone soup, bossam, corn cheese and rose tteokbokki. All was surprisingly delicious and worth the price! Excuse the unclear photo coz I took it too fast before eating and did not think I would give this place a review at first. Cheers!

Really great service and very spacious compared to the North York location. The food is amazing, the garlic and BBQ pork is especially good. We also ordered the corn with cheese and the rice. Not too many people, so we can sit comfortably and did not need to wait for too long. The hostess is really helpful and very gentle with our toddler, prepared a special set of bowl for her. We ordered two bottles of soju and they gifted us with an extra dish! Will definitely be coming back again very soon.

Food was too good. The portions for the meat are sooo big. The staff say that it’s meant for 2/3 people per dish but it was more than enough for 5/6 of us (plus other dishes) it’s just the amount of meat was huge

First time trying jokbal and we really enjoyed it! Took a while to come out as it was made fresh but worth the wait. Bbq and garlic jokbal were both super tasty and tender. The bossam was also very good but we definitely prefer the jokbal more. The kimchi and other banchan all tasted very fresh and were refillable! It’s on the pricy side but not too bad if sharing with others. Would come back to try the gamjatang, seafood pancake, and tteokboki as we saw some other customers order them and they looked tasty.
